Shezah Salam is a writer and filmmaker based in London. Her latest short film, Bona Vacantia, screened at various Oscar and BAFTA-qualifying festivals across the US and UK. She is the winner of the 2021 Genera Film Fund and a finalist at the Shore Scripts Competition.

She is currently developing her first feature documentary, 'After The Escape', with director Zlata Onufrieva.

Prior to filmmaking, Shezah has over 6 years of experience in commercial writing, working for companies like Global Media & Entertainment and Grey Worldwide as a creative writer.
